Toronto, September 20, 2015 – Le Rêve de Champlain‘s digital platform won a prix Gémeaux in the category Best digital production (website and/or mobile application) for a program or series: documentary. “We are honoured to receive this lovely recognition by the Prix Gémeaux 2015. I wish to congratulate and thank our whole web team, as well as our production partners Turbulent, Groupe Fairplay, and Slalom for their contribution to TFO’s innovative educational content,” indicated Laurent Guérin, Executive Director, Web and Television Content at Groupe Média TFO. “We are proud of the Champlain project, a multiplatform initiative through which we wanted to celebrate 400 years of French presence in Ontario.” Le Rêve de Champlain is a docufiction series accompanied by a suite of digital products, including a website, interactive games, and stimulating educational applications. These different platforms allow users to follow in the footsteps of Samuel de Champlain and his great explorations, and to relive an era that shaped Canadian history. Chosen through a contest, they had the opportunity to experience the ceremony live, to meet nominated artists, and to participate in this great celebration of television, web and new media.
